Together with the household shelter (HS), storey shelters (SS) are designed and constructed to protect residents against weapon effects during a war emergency, and are regulated under the Civil Defence Shelter Act.

A HS is located within the residential unit while a SS is located at a common area of a storey and serves the residents of that storey.

Sewerage Information Plan (SIP)

The Sewerage Information Plan (SIP) of a development is a layout plan in drawing that indicates the locations of public sewers or pumping mains in the vicinity of the development.

The Qualified Person (QP) purchases the SIP from the PUB with the landowner’s consent. Together with a Land Surveyor, the QP will have to verify the details of the sewer lines and mains on site.
