Site Plan

A site plan shows the bird’s eye view of the development within its boundary. It shows all built-up features, roads, landscape, drainage, etc., within the site and the immediate surrounding area.

Floor Plan

An architecture or engineering floor plan shows the space layout and other physical elements on that particular storey. It shows a plan-section view cut horizontally, looking towards the floor, at a height of 1.2 metres. As such, the positions of the typical windows are also shown on the floor plan.

Strata Title

The term ‘strata’ means different levels. Strata title, also known as ‘unit title’ in some countries, refers to the ownership of units in multi-storey buildings.

Plot Ratio

According to the URA, the plot ratio of a site is defined as the ratio of the gross floor area of a building(s) to its site area. The plot ratio is used to control the intensity of land use based on the URA Master Plan.

The plot ratio of a site is computed as: Plot Ratio = Gross Floor Area / Site Area
